INTRODUCTION
Located just second to Lime Kiln Ground, at the most northerly point of the Festival is Hitchin Hill Ground. The closest stage to this camping field is the John Peel – which is located southwest of the field, with the Pyramid Stage (which you can see in the photo above) situated at the bottom of the camping ground.
As opposed to the other camping fields on this side of the hemisphere which tend to fill up rather quickly, you’ll oftentimes find that this ground still has available camping spots later in the day, or even on the Thursday – which could benefit late arrivals. Rumour also has it that this periphery located field “tend to be quieter” – but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
SUMMARY
For those planning on securing a fairly close spot to the Pyramid or Other Stage, but end up arriving later on late on the Wednesday or Thursday – this field may be the best option.
