INTRODUCTION
Michael’s Mead is located north of the Pyramid Stage and neighbours Spring Ground (to the west) and adjacent Hawkwell (to the east). Looking downhill to the heart of the Festival makes for some spectacular views from your tent first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
That said, the ground in this area can tend to be quite steep – which means that in some cases you’ll be putting your head to sleep on a 35+ degree angle (in some places), not to mention the uphill walk to your tent each night.
On the flip side, this area is positioned quite close to the Pyramid and John Peel Stages and is fairly accessible from the Festival Bus Station at Pedestrian Gate A, as well as from eastern Gates B and C.
SUMMARY
For those who don’t mind sleeping at an angle and would prefer to be within chucking distance of some of the main stages; along with the all-important transport links in and out of the Festival site – A good alternative if Hawkwell is full.
