INTRODUCTION
South of Paines Ground you’ll find South Park 2. A small and somewhat secluded camping field that borders the Park area (located to its east) and is just a stone’s throw away from the Ribbon Tower as you can see from the image above with it peeking its hat-head over the sea of tents.
The southerly side of this field is situated near the Super-Fence and slopes inwards towards the Festival site, providing for some truly scenic views, both by day and by night.
Although not as secluded as South Park 1 and Ridg’s field – Being camped out at the outskirts of the Festival site means you’ll have a bit of a walk to the Pyramid Stage and William’s Green, so do keep that in mind if you are contemplating on camping here and plan on spending most of you’re festival-time in those areas.
As opposed to its neighbour South Park 1 which most if not all of the time has space, South Park 2 endures a relatively high density of tents and tends to fill up quite quickly compared to the former.
You would ideally access this campsite from the West by Gate D, but for those arriving via Gate A (on foot or by public transport), be prepared for about a 20-minute walk.
SUMMARY
Ideal for those who like some seclusion, great views and being close to The Park area – but don’t mind a bit of a walk to where all the action is at.
