“My first year was the 1971 Glastonbury Fayre” – Terry Maine

“My first year was the 1971 Glastonbury Fayre. Have not been since.

It was a long time ago, we all just walked in and listened to great sounds, you could see people dancing, some in the nude, that was a new one for me.

No rain. People doing their own thing, no trouble, relaxed and friendly. All brought together by music. I had never seen anything like it before.

I remember Hawkwind being my favourite performance at the time.”
