Avalon Bars & Events specialises in event production and management services at large-scale outdoor events. Established by its Managing Director Tim Mills in 2010, Avalon Bars & Events works exclusively on the provision and management of the majority of the public bars at Glastonbury Festival, involving event and bar planning for all aspects of bar operations at the Worthy Farm event.

General info

For 2024 Avalon Bars and Events will be back onsite at Glastonbury running their bars. As opposed to the previous year, this year Avalon Bars and Events will be recruiting volunteers for Glastonbury Festival themselves. In an official statement, the bars and events company said that "this new chapter is an opportunity for to evaluate the volunteer process and how they can make the experience even better".

Working in a bar, serving drinks to customers while supporting charitable causes.

January (throughout)

Application Process

1. Go to the Avalon Bars & Events website and click on Register Interest’

2. Registered your interest by filling in the online form (before the end of January 2024).

3. Avalon Bars & Events will be in touch with you in February 2024 to let you know when places are open to apply.

5. Volunteer places will be allocated by ballot once ‘register your interest’ has closed in January.

Once Avalon Bars & Events have allocated spaces to successful applications they’ll ask you to pay a refundable deposit of £360 at that time.

7. If you are unsuccessful you will automatically be placed on our waitlist in the event of dropouts.

• Dedicated Avalon Bars & Events campsite (not inc. camping equipment).
• Free showers and private toilets.
• x2 meal vouchers for every shift you’re scheduled for.
• Snacks, Tea and coffee
• Phone charging facilities.
A couple of T-shirts to wear whilst you’re on shifts

More Info

Avalon Bars & Events provide free coaches to and from the designated meeting spot in Bristol to the festival, which you will be available to sign up for closer to the time.
