Hitchin Hill Ground
Located just second to Lime Kiln Ground, at the most northerly point of the Festival is Hitchin Hill Ground. The closest stage to this camping field is Woodsies (formerly John Peel Stage), located southwest of the field, with the Pyramid Stage (which you can see in the photo above) situated at the bottom of the camping ground.
As opposed to the other camping fields on this side of the hemisphere which tend to fill up rather quickly, you’ll frequently find that this ground still has available camping spots later in the day, or even on the Thursday, which could benefit late arrivals. Rumour also has it that this periphery-located field “tends to be quieter” — but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
Hitchin Hill Ground is best accessed via gate A.

Pros & Cons
Pros
Has an excellent view south across the site.
Quieter due to being located on the periphery of the site.
Great for late arrivals as it doesn’t fill up as quickly as the other fields.
Cons
Watch out for slopes.
