Glastonbury Festival’s EE mobile app now available to download, for free
Glastonbury 2019‘s mobile app is now available to download, for free. The app, which has been built by EE, is the only official mobile app for this year’s Festival.

- Personalised Festival Line-up – View all the artists performing at the Festival. Personalise your own Festival line-up, share with friends on social, see any timing clashes, and even set reminders.
- Live Interactive Map – Live map with up-to-date site coverage, location finding, ‘now and next’ info and customisable pin drops to help you locate your friends, car and tents.
- Latest News & Announcements – All the latest news and real-time updates direct from the Festival.
- Low Power Mode – Maximise your battery life during the Festival by switching to low power mode.
Glastonbury 2019: the UK’s first 5G-connected festival
Earlier this year EE revealed they will make Glastonbury 2019 the UK’s first festival with 5G after adding the technology to five of their temporary masts, which support the permanent network at major events across the UK.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis said: “We’re extremely pleased to have EE back again, providing the best possible network for our rural site. And it’s great that we’re going to be one of the first places in the UK to offer 5G.”
Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer division, said: “This is the start of the UK’s 5G journey and great news for our customers that want and need the best connections. We’ve started with 5G in some of the busiest parts of the UK, the widest range of 5G devices in the UK, and plans that give customers the best mobile connection and great benefits.
“We’re adding 5G to the UK’s number one 4G network to increase reliability, increase speeds, and keep our customers connected where they need it most. 5G will create new experiences with augmented reality, make our customers’ lives easier, and help launch entirely new businesses that we haven’t even imagined. We’re upgrading more than 100 sites to 5G every month from today to connect more places to what 5G can enable.
“Our partnerships with Google and Niantic are just the start of our commitment to work with the most innovative and exciting companies in the world to ensure that EE customers are the first to benefit from the exciting new experiences that 5G will bring.”
Keep your mobile charged
EE is, once again, also providing free mobile charging in their recharge tent at this year’s Festival (whatever network you’re on).
Plus, you can buy a Juice Power Bar, to keep your phone charged all through the festival. You’ll be able to swap your Power Bar for a fully charged one, once every day at Glastonbury Festival 2019. Click HERE for more info and to order one.
Glastonbury 2019 runs between June 26 and 30 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset.
