Glastonbury 2020 coach ticket packages sell out in just 27 minutes

The first wave of tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival has sold out in just 27 minutes

The coach + ticket packages for Glastonbury 2020 went on sale this evening (Thursday, October 3rd) at 6pm BST and were all gone by 6:27 pm.

At 6:19pm See Tickets announced that Wednesday coach packages for Glastonbury 2020 “are almost full”.

It was shortly after that, at 6:23pm, that a notice appeared on the Glastonbury website holding page which read “Wednesday coach travel has now sold out”.

Thursday departure tickets sold out shortly after at 6:27pm. That was the time See Tickets confirmed on social media that “All coach packages for next year’s @GlastoFest are now SOLD OUT. General admission tickets go on sale Sunday at 9am (BST).”

Followed by the See Tickets announcement, Glastonbury Festival’s official twitter account confirmed that “The Glastonbury 2020 coach + ticket packages on sale this evening have now all been sold. Thank you to everyone who bought one. Standard tickets are on sale at 9am BST on Sunday morning (and @nationalexpress will offer coach travel to standard ticket holders from 70 locations).”

With all coach ticket packages for Glastonbury 2020 being snapped up by Glasto fans in just 27 minutes, it is needless to say there were many who were left without tickets, as demand for the iconic Festival is always extremely high, and especially now, with 2020 being Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary.

Last year’s coach + ticket package sale day (October 4, 2018), saw Wednesday sell out after 22 minutes and Thursday departures after 7 more minutes – for a total selling time of 29 minutes. For Glastonbury 2017, all coach ticket packages sold out in just 22 minutes.

Standard tickets are set to go on sale at 9am BST on Sunday, 6th October – which will subsequently see the release of the final batch of ticket-only passes.

Registration closed at 5pm on Monday, September 30, which means that currently there is no opportunity to submit or re-submit a registration until after the October ticket sales.

Please keep in mind that all Glastonbury tickets are sold only on one site: glastonbury.seetickets.com – any other site claiming to sell tickets for the festival are not authentic, and you will be setting yourself up for disappointment. Make sure you are in the right place before putting down a deposit.

Meanwhile – Glastonbury founder, Michael Eavis, has already confirmed Wolf Alice will be on the Glastonbury 2020 bill, and Supergrass are rumoured to make an appearance after reforming to play this year’s Pilton Party.

As with every pre-Glastonbury year, there are numerous rumours and speculation feeding the Glasto rumour-mill with who might headline Glastonbury 2020.

Glastonbury 2020 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.
