Missed out on tickets to Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary? Do not despair; prepare!
Tickets for Glastonbury 2020 went on sale at the beginning of October and have now officially sold out.
With approximately 2.4 million people registering to try and buy tickets to the Festival’s 50th-anniversary next year, many were left disappointed and ticketless – general admission tickets sold out in 33 minutes, following coach + ticket packages which sold out in just 27 minutes.
Anyone who managed to bag a ticket in the recent ticket sales will have paid a deposit of £50 and will need to pay the rest of the ticket price by April 7, 2020.
Those who change their minds about going, or find themselves unable to attend will be refunded the £50 deposit – minus a £25 administration fee – which will be deposited back to the card on which the tickets were booked. If the ticket was booked with a Coach Package, then an additional £10 will be retained (£25 ticket cancellation fee + £10 coach cancellation fee).
Any tickets not paid for in full by the deadline are then put up for resale.
Before you take any other step, make sure you have registered!
There is no way you can book Glastonbury tickets unless you’ve pre-registered. If you are uncertain whether you’re registered or not, you can check on the Festival’s official website over at: glastonbury.seetickets.com/registration/register
When is the Glastonbury 2020 Ticket Resale?
There will be a coach + ticket packages resale on April 16 – followed by a general admission tickets resale (which don’t include travel) on April 19.
How much will Glastonbury tickets cost?
Tickets cost £265 per person + £5 booking fee.
A coach + ticket package includes a return coach journey from one of 28 separate locations across the UK, in addition to the general admission ticket.
Bath, Bristol, London, Reading, Taunton are the only 5 locations from which you can get a single coach journey.
Below you’ll find a list of the locations from which the coaches will be available and the cost of each coach fare (which you’ll need to add the cost of your ticket to obtain the package cost):
Do I have to pay the full ticket amount straight away?
Yes. Tickets bought in the resale must be paid for in full at the point of booking – there is no deposit scheme offered. That being said, these tickets will be refundable up until Thursday, May 7th.
Where will I be able to pay my ticket balance?
Glastonbury Festival tickets are only sold on one site: glastonbury.seetickets.com – any other site claiming to sell tickets for the festival are not authentic, and you will be setting yourself up for disappointment.
Make sure you are in the right place before making the payment.
How many tickets can I buy in the resale?
It has yet to be officially confirmed, but going by previous years:
In the coach + ticket packages (which go on resale April 16), you will probably be limited to 2 tickets per transaction, to reflect the limited number of seats available per coach.
In the general admission ticket resale (which takes place on April 19), you will probably be able to purchase up to 4 tickets per transaction.
PLEASE NOTE: You can only book one ticket per registration number. So if you plan to book for a group, you will need all their registration numbers and registered postcodes, too – get them ready now.
Glastonbury 2020 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.
