The Rum Shack is coming to London on Glastonbury weekend!
Last week we reported the Rum Shack took to Twitter to tease that “a big announcement coming soon…“ – well here it is:
Glastonbury’s Rum Shack has just revealed that they will be coming to London for a special party – in association with Fox Fest – to raise money for Refugee Community Kitchen (founded by Glastonbury The Common’s very own Steve Bedlam) and ForJimmy.org.
The event is set to take place on Friday 29 June at the Fox and Firkin.
On the menu:
Kwake Bass – regarded as one of the most exciting drummers in the UK. Regular collaborator with Kate Tempest, Sampha, Jehst and FACT Mag favourite. A solo drum/electronica set from an incredible musician (and South London stalwart).
More Like Trees – returning from an illustrious hiatus for a rare London show. Born of festival fields and raucous warehouse parties. A foot-stomping, heart-pounding fusion of drum n bass, folk and flamenco.
The Fedz – who lit up Rum Shack in 2017 with their slick, soulful sound that brings together musicians from UK and US from all races and backgrounds, working together for the common good. An anathema to the divisions in the world, sticking up a middle finger to the status quo.
Hosted by – NattySpeaks / MC Spee (Dreadzone) / Natty Campbell MC
Entry is by donation, so feel free to dig deep and help Glastonbury’s The Common family raise funds for these important charities that do so much good work.
