The ex-Oasis frontman wouldn’t mind playing “a little sweaty tent” at Glastonbury 2020
Liam Gallagher has already said he’s “gonna be” going to Glastonbury Festival in 2020 for its 50th anniversary, even though he has “not been asked” to play.
Now, in a new interview with GQ, the former Oasis-frontman has expressed his hopes to return to Glastonbury in 2020 – When asked if after two consecutive appearances at the festival he’d be looking to make it a hat-trick for the Festival’s 50th anniversary. In response, Liam replied “Fuckin’ hell, why not? I’ll play it again. I’m not arsed about headlining. I’ve fuckin’ done all that. I’ll put it out there: I’ll play a tent anywhere. A little small gig in a little sweaty tent will do me, man.” Gallagher continued – “…But I’m certainly not arsed about fuckin’ headlining or being on another stage. Get me in a fuckin’ little moody tent and it’s fuckin’ sweating, it’ll go off.”
The 47-year-old RocknRolla has played the legendary Festival countless times before, both as a solo artist, as well as with his previous band, Oasis, which first played the festival in 1994, then in 1995 and finally in 2004.
Liam last played Glastonbury earlier this year – taking to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night (June 29), prior to The Killers headlining slot – where he sang a number of Oasis hits along with several solo tracks. Prior to that, the Champagne Supernova superstar had also played the Worthy Farm-heald event in 2017.
