Scary Spice wants the Spice Girls to perform at Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary with Victoria Beckham
Mel B, aka Scary Spice, has added more fuel to the Spice Girls Glastonbury 2020 rumour, teasing plans to reunite the full girl group lineup for Glastonbury Festival next year.
In an interview with the Mail On Sunday’s Event magazine earlier today (August 4), the singer – real name Melanie Brown – spoke about Victoria Beckham’s absence from the Spice Girls’ recent sold-out tour, promising her intent to get all five girls together to perform at Glastonbury’s upcoming 50th anniversary in 2020.
“Victoria is Victoria. She didn’t want to do it” she said, adding “But my plan is for all five of us to do Glastonbury next year for the 50th anniversary. I’m in the process of persuading Victoria to do it. And I will make it happen.”
Glastonbury 2020 will see the legendary festival celebrate its 50th anniversary and has been confirmed to take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June. Ticket sale dates have yet to be confirmed but are expected to go on sale in early October.
