Shelter set to open Glastonbury 2019 volunteering applications

Here’s a great chance to go to this year’s Glastonbury Festival while also giving back

Shelter is set to open full registration to volunteer at Glastonbury 2019.

The organisation helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services.

Shelter will be returning to Worthy Farm this year with a 400 strong volunteering team to partner once again with Avalon Bars & Events, which in turn give a generous donation.

Last year Shelter’s volunteers raised over £40,000 for the organisation which helped them continue their vital work supporting families facing bad housing and homelessness.

Volunteering role involves:
Working in a bar, serving drinks for customers (no previous experience is required).

Shifts required:
Three eight-hour shifts over five days (Wed-Sun).

When and where to register and apply:
Full registration is set to open next week, so keep your eyes peeled for emails and updates from Monday (March 18) 10am.

Perks:
Shelter provides transport to the festival, as well as a campsite for volunteers, with phone charging, tea and coffee, and hot showers. You will also get meal vouchers to use in its catering tent.

Glastonbury 2019 will take place between June 26 and 30 at Worthy Farm, Pilton.
