The legendary UK DJ will be returning to Worthy Farm for the Festival’s 50 anniversary
Carl Cox has confirmed he’ll be returning to Glastonbury Festival for 2020 as part of the Festival’s 50th-anniversary celebrations.
Speaking to DJ Mag – after winning the Highest Techno award in 2019’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll and landing the No.35 spot overall – the house and techno record producer and DJ, confirmed he’ll be playing Glastonbury 2020, saying: “We’ve got the 50 years of Glastonbury coming up, so I’m looking forward to be playing that, and that’s going to be something which is a landmark of Glastonbury musical history…”
You can listen to Carl Cox’s interview below – he confirms playing Glastonbury at about the 3:35 time-mark.
Cox has become somewhat of a regular at the Worthy Farm-held event since 2016, and last played the iconic Festival in the summer of 2019 where he took to The Glade on Thursday, prior to a back to back set with Jamie Jones at the brand new Arcadia Pangea on Friday and a 2-hour set on Saturday at the Rabbit Hole’s Funkingham Palace.
Despite the fact that the full line-up for Glastonbury 2020 has yet to be released – all tickets for the festival’s 50th anniversary have already sold out, with general admission tickets selling out in 33 minutes, following coach + ticket packages which sold out in just 27 minutes.
There are still ways to go to Glastonbury’s big 5-0, and in addition to being able to volunteer or enter the various competitions – there will be a resale of any cancelled tickets in the spring, with Coach + Ticket Packages going up for resale on April 16 – followed by a General Admission tickets resale on April 19.
Glastonbury 2020 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.Advertisement
