The American singer-songwriter’s 2020 summer festival tour dates have a massive Glastonbury-sized gap…
Taylor Swift has just announced a brand new tour in support of her new album Lover.
The American singer/songwriter will be heading out on an international trek in June 2020, playing shows throughout Europe and South America before heading to North America.
The Lover album is open fields, sunsets, + SUMMER. I want to perform it in a way that feels authentic. I want to go to some places I haven’t been and play festivals. Where we didn’t have festivals, we made some. Introducing, Lover Fest East + West! https://t.co/xw6YMN38WE pic.twitter.com/IhVPQ8DMUG

Avid Glasto-goers will notice that these tour dates fall just around the weekend of Glastonbury 2020 (24th-28th June), leaving a perfect sized gap in Swift’s schedule for either the Saturday or Sunday of the festival (27th / 28th June).
Furthermore, if you look closely at the fine print at the bottom of the announcement poster, it clearly states that “Additional U.K. and international dates and festival will be announced soon“.
Meanwhile, Glastonbury confirmed last week that the first tickets for next year’s festival will go up for grabs at the beginning of October – with coach + ticket packages on sale at 6pm BST on Thursday, 3rd October, before general admission tickets at 9am BST on Sunday, 6th October.
Glastonbury 2020 will see the legendary festival celebrate its 50th anniversary and has been confirmed to take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.
