Thousands of music fans have flocked to Worthy Farm in Somerset for this year’s Glastonbury Festival, despite some enduring a soggy start with recent heavy rain. However, as the skies began to clear, so too did the arrival of celebrities — one of whom made the impressive 650-mile journey to the festival entirely by bicycle.
Wednesday the 25nd of June, saw Glastonbury finally open its gates after a long year’s wait, in what was a very emotional start to the Festival. Thursday then followed suit and kept energies high, as thousands more Glasto-goers arrived on site.
While much of the excitement is set to unfold from today, revellers are currently making the most of the damp conditions, enjoying the atmosphere and preparing for the weekend ahead — albeit with the usual festival challenges, including drinks in the sun and rain.

This year’s Glastonbury runs from 25 to 29 June 2025, featuring a diverse lineup through the weekend including US rapper Doechii, UK singer Raye, and legendary rocker Sir Rod Stewart, who will take the much-anticipated ‘legends slot’. Other highlights include performances by Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro, Irish rap group Kneecap and American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams — giving fans the whole day to get ready for a spectacular evening of live music.
Tonight, the Pyramid Stage will welcome headline acts The 1975, who will be taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage at 22:15. Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra will open The Other Stage at 11:30am this morning before Supergrass opens the Pyramid at 12:00pm. Also on today’s line-up are CMAT (Pyramid, 1:30pm), Myles Smith (Woodsies, 12:45pm), Inhaler (Other, 2:15pm), Wet Leg (Other 3:45pm) and Franz Ferdinand (5:15pm).
Todays schedule also features two mystirouse TBA slots — the first at 11:30am on the Woodsies stage, which is strongly rumoured to be Lorde, while the other at 4:55pm on the Pyramid, speculated as being Lewis Capaldi. If you’re not at Worthy Farm, today’s the day you can finally start watching along at home with the BBC live streaming hours and hours of music from the main stages.

🚁 Glastonbury by night, from high up in the sky
Captured from a helicopter by Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Glastonbury Festival after dark reveals a dazzling mosaic of twinkling lights sprawling across the festival grounds. The glowing stages pulse with life, while countless illuminated campsites create a magical landscape beneath the starry sky. This breathtaking aerial view perfectly captures the vibrant energy and unique atmosphere that make Glastonbury truly unforgettable.
🔊 Four Tet headlines Woodsies
Four Tet is absolutely destroying the Woodies stage tonight at Glastonbury 2025 — it’s spine-tingling stuff from start to finish, with intricate beats and hypnotic rhythms, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
🎤 Matty Healy’s bold claim and emotional Glastonbury moment with the 1975
The 1975 delivered a visually and musically striking set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2025 — but it was frontman Matty Healy’s speech that got people talking.
While Lewis Capaldi moved the crowd earlier with a heartfelt message, Healy’s words took a more theatrical turn. “What this moment is making me realise is that… yeah. I probably am the best. So I’m probably the best songwriter of my generation. A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am,” he declared, addressing the sea of fans. “I wanted to remind you – this poetry, I believed in it for you.” Moments later, the band launched into their hit Chocolate.
The set wasn’t short on spectacle either. The 1975 transformed the stage with additional vertical screens beneath the main side displays and extended panels stretching out along both wings, creating a fully immersive visual experience. At one point, the band even teased a snippet of the Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way, slipping it seamlessly into their performance.
Despite admitting, “I know I’m a rock star but this is really scary and I’m really nervous,” Healy stood confidently at centre stage. And while he later joked that his “poet” remark wasn’t entirely serious, it was a moment of high drama that perfectly summed up the 1975’s flair for blending sincerity with showmanship.

🚥 The 1975 Pyramid prep
The 1975 are nearly ready to take the stage, and excitement is building for what promises to be a memorable performance! Earlier today, fans were told to expect something big, but exactly what that means remains a mystery. We’ll have to wait and see what surprises they’ve got up their sleeves!

👀 Lewis Capaldi setlist spotted ahead of rumoured Glastonbury secret set
Excitement is building here at Glastonbury Festival as a sharp-eyed Pyramid Stage photographer has just spotted a setlist belonging to Lewis Capaldi — well before his expected appearance.
The setlist, found backstage, includes songs closely associated with Capaldi’s biggest hits, hinting strongly that the rumoured secret set on the Pyramid Stage at 16:55 today could indeed be his.
Festivalgoers and fans online have been buzzing with speculation for days about a surprise performance, and this discovery is sending the chatter into overdrive. If confirmed, it promises to be one of the standout moments of Glastonbury 2025.
We’ll be watching closely as the clock ticks down to 16:55 — stay tuned for live coverage and instant updates from Worthy Farm.
👗 CMAT draws cheers by stripping off in bold stand against body-shaming
CMAT delivered a standout moment at Glastonbury 2025 during her Pyramid Stage performance on Saturday 29 June, using her platform to call out online body-shaming. The Irish singer spoke candidly to the crowd about the cruel comments she’s received about her appearance after festival performances were shared online.
In a defiant gesture, she stripped off her blue mini dress to reveal a leotard and cardigan underneath, swinging the dress above her head as the crowd erupted in support. “I am in fact very sexy,” she declared, before launching into her empowering anthem Take A Sexy Picture Of Me.
The moment quickly went viral, with fans praising CMAT’s confidence and unapologetic message of self-worth. It became one of the most talked-about highlights of the weekend, blending bold performance with a powerful stand against body-shaming.
🎵 CMAT’s 2025 Glastonbury Setlist:
- Have Fun
- I Don’t Really Care For You
- 2 Wrecked 2 Care
- Aw, Shoot!
- Take A Sexy Picture Of Me
- The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station
- Running/Planning
- I Wanna Be A Cowboy, Baby
- Stay For Something
🌿 Supergrass open the Pyramid Stage
Supergrass opened Glastonbury 2025’s Pyramid Stage on Friday 27 June, celebrating 30 years since their debut album I Should Coco with a crowd-pleasing set.
Frontman Gaz Coombes called it “a privilege and an honour” to launch the stage, before performing much of the 1995 album, including Alright, Caught by the Fuzz and Mansize Rooster.
Despite a brief interruption on BBC iPlayer during Alright, the band delivered a nostalgic and energetic performance — even including Sofa (Of My Lethargy), a track they skipped in their 1995 Glasto debut.
Fans hailed it as a “superb” start to the festival weekend.
🥵 Be safe in the heat
Glastonbury organisers have issued safety advice as temperatures at Worthy Farm are set to rise, peaking at 34°C by Monday (1 July). Festivalgoers are urged to stay hydrated, seek shade, limit alcohol intake, and look out for one another during the heatwave. Water refill stations are available across the site.
🎤 Lorde debuts new album Virgin in surprise Glastonbury set
Lorde surprised Glastonbury festivalgoers on Friday morning (27 June) with a secret set at Woodsies, performing her brand-new album Virgin in full — on the day of its release.
Taking the stage at 11:30am, she opened with her new single, Hammer and delivered the live debut of every track from the album, accompanied by dramatic lighting and an emotionally charged performance.
“This record took a lot out of me — I didn’t know if I’d make another,” she told the crowd. “But I’m back and completely free.”
Highlights included What Was That and Shapeshifter, before she closed with fan favourites Ribs and Green Light — a triumphant return to Worthy Farm.
🤫 Secret Sets All But Confirmed as Lorde and Lewis Capaldi Rumoured to Take Glastonbury by Surprise
Glastonbury’s long-standing love of surprise performances is in full effect — and today (Friday 27 June 2025), two huge artists are all but confirmed to appear in secret sets, sending fans into a frenzy.
Lorde is widely believed to be taking to the Woodsies stage at 11:30am, with crowds already gathering in large numbers outside the tent in anticipation. Fuel was added to the fire when the New Zealand star posted what looked like an aerial shot of the Woodsies field to her Instagram story. Fans quickly clocked the connection to a mysterious “TBA” slot listed at that exact time — and speculation has only intensified from there.
Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi looks set to make an emotional return to the stage, with strong signs pointing to a secret Pyramid Stage set between 4:55pm and 5:30pm today. Though not officially confirmed, the clues have been hard to ignore.
In recent days, cryptic billboard-style signs have been spotted around Worthy Farm and across the country. One reads: “I’ve had my share of Monday mornings when I can’t get up.” Texting the number on the sign prompts another lyric in return: “I’m gonna get up and live until the day that I die.”
A third line — “Most nights I fear that I’m not enough” — has surfaced on yet another billboard, this time beyond the festival site, and has been widely shared by fans online.
The campaign is believed to be linked to Capaldi’s new single, reportedly titled “Survive” — a fitting name, considering the singer has spent the last two years out of the spotlight focusing on his mental and physical health. If today’s rumours prove true, it would mark a powerful and highly anticipated comeback for the 28-year-old.
Looking ahead, the Sunflower Soundsystem also promises big moments on Saturday (28 June), with Joy Orbison B2B Fold at 2pm, followed by a Caribou DJ set at 6pm.
🚦 Traffic update for those still making their way to the Farm
🚶 Friday crowds update: What to expect at Glastonbury today
Glastonbury Festival enters day three with the main stages officially open and thousands of revellers gathering for a full day of live music, comedy and late-night entertainment across Worthy Farm.
Organisers are advising festivalgoers to expect busy scenes at several key stages, particularly during high-profile sets later today. If you’re heading out, here’s what to look out for—and how to navigate it all smoothly.
🚏 The acts below are looking particularly popular today, and are likely to be busy:
- 🎪 Woodsies stage
- TBA – 11:30am
- Lola Young – 4:30pm
- Blossoms – 6:00pm
- Pink Pantheress – 7:30pm
- 🎪 Lonely Hearts Club
- Rudimental – 8:00pm
- Fatboy Slim – 10:30pm
- 🎪 West Holts
- Maribou State – 10:15pm
- 🎪 Avalon stage
- The Fratellis – 11:05pm
- 🎪 Cabaret tent
- Nish Kumar and James Acaster – 12:10am (Saturday)
- 🎪 Shangri-La
- Example – 2:45am (Saturday)
Crowds, queues and access tips
Expect large crowds throughout the day—especially at the Pyramid, Other, West Holts and Park stages. While these areas are built for big audiences, they may fill quickly at peak times.
Arcadia is set to be particularly busy tonight, and organisers say a one-way system is likely to be put in place in the South East Corner to manage crowd flow.
Some tented venues may operate one-in, one-out entry when they reach capacity. If that happens, you might be asked to take a different route, so be patient and follow directions from stewards.
When leaving a packed stage or arena, give yourself extra time. Waiting a few minutes can make all the difference as crowds naturally thin out. And remember: the most direct route to your next destination isn’t always the quickest.
Looking for a quieter moment?
If crowds aren’t your thing or you just need a break, there are calmer spaces around the site. Recommended quieter spots include:
- Dragon’s Tail
- The hill above The Park
- The area above the Tipi Field and Green Fields
Whether you’re raving at Arcadia or kicking back at Avalon, stay safe, look after each other, and make the most of your Glastonbury Friday.

🚫 Neil Young’s Glastonbury Set Won’t Be Shown on BBC – Here’s Why
As Glastonbury Festival 2025 takes over the airwaves once again, millions of viewers across the UK are tuning in to catch performances from a stellar lineup including Raye, Sir Rod Stewart, Franz Ferdinand, and Olivia Rodrigo.
However, one major artist will be notably absent from the BBC’s coverage. Legendary musician Neil Young, who is headlining the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night, will not have his performance televised or streamed live by the broadcaster.
The update was shared during the Wednesday, 25 June edition of BBC Breakfast, as correspondent Colin Paterson reported live from Worthy Farm, where thousands of festival-goers had already begun arriving.

“One issue that’s emerged over the last 24 hours,” Paterson explained, “is that the BBC released their timings for TV coverage — and something that really stood out was Saturday night. While Neil Young is headlining the Pyramid Stage, BBC One will instead be broadcasting Charli XCX’s set from the Other Stage.”
This development follows Neil Young’s previous comments in 2024, when he reportedly withdrew from Glastonbury after learning of the BBC’s involvement. Despite later confirming he would headline the festival in 2025, it now appears his stance on broadcasting has remained unchanged.
A BBC spokesperson has since addressed the decision, telling The Mirror:
“On Saturday on BBC iPlayer, our Glastonbury Channel and five streams for the main stages will bring a range of live performances to audiences. At the artist’s request, we won’t be live streaming Neil Young’s set. Our plans, including those for our TV highlights shows and on-demand coverage, continue to be finalised right up to and during the festival.”
While fans attending in person can still catch Young’s set live, those watching from home will have to settle for other major performances across the BBC’s multi-platform coverage.
🌤️ Glastonbury Weather Report – Friday 27 June 2025
Festivalgoers at Worthy Farm have woken up to dry and mild conditions this morning, following a calm night with only a brief light shower recorded in the early hours. The rest of Thursday night remained dry, with overcast skies and gentle breezes helping campers settle in ahead of one of the festival’s busiest days.
Today, the weather is set to be warm, dry and largely settled – ideal for a full day of music and exploring the site. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the afternoon, but conditions will feel pleasant with highs of 25°C expected by mid-afternoon. From around 5pm, sunny intervals are forecast, bringing a golden glow just in time for the early evening sets.
A gentle south-westerly breeze will continue throughout the day, keeping the atmosphere fresh without causing any disruptions. UV levels will be moderate, so sunscreen is advised during peak hours.
Into the night, temperatures will gradually fall to around 18°C by midnight. Cloud cover will increase again, and there is a slight 10% chance of light rain from 10pm onwards, though it’s unlikely to cause any major issues.
🌤️ Weather at a Glance:
- 🌡️ Daytime highs: Up to 25°C
- ☁️ Afternoon: Cloudy with light breeze
- ⛅ Evening: Sunny intervals, 23–21°C
- 🌥️ Night: Cloudy, mild, 20–18°C, 10% chance of rain
- 💨 Wind: Light south-westerly breeze
