Yesterday, Wednesday, the 25th of June, saw Glastonbury finally open its gates after a year-long wait, in what was a very emotional start to the Festival.

Today, thousands more Glasto-goers are expected to descend on Worthy Farm as the five-day festival continues through to Sunday, 29th June. This year’s headliners are The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, taking to the Pyramid Stage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively. Joining them is Legends Slot performer Rod Stewart, who will deliver a highly anticipated set on Sunday afternoon (29th June).

Despite the main music schedule only set to start on Friday, there are countless venues offering live music and entertainment throughout Wednesday and Thursday, along with an endless selection of traders and vendors selling delicious food and goods — a time when crowds settle in, discover hidden gems, and soak up the atmosphere as the festival kicks into gear.

Many smaller venues, including circus areas, late-night spots, and community stages, will be hosting performances throughout the day and into the evening. From intimate acoustic sets to high-energy DJs, there’s no shortage of music and magic to enjoy even before the main acts arrive.

However, if you’re still en route, be prepared: traffic around Worthy Farm remains extremely congested today. The A361 and A37 are expected to stay busy for much of the day as thousands of festivalgoers make their final approach.

👀 Lorde teases Woodsies?

Lorde has set the Glasto rumour mill spinning once again after sharing what appears to be an aerial shot of Woodsies on her Instagram story — and eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot something curious: a mysterious “TBA” slot on Friday at 11:30pm.

Fueling speculation even further, the New Zealand star recently told Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 (5 June) that she’s “pretty keen, honestly” to return to Worthy Farm, noting the timing of her new album Virgin, which drops 27 June, and her mates performing — including Charli XCX, who headlines the Other Stage on Saturday.

With iconic Glastonbury appearances under her belt — from a moody Other Stage set in 2017 to her dazzling Pyramid Stage performance in 2022 — Lorde admitted she was left “shooketh” by the experience, and it’s clear the Glasto magic hasn’t worn off.

Could she be back this Friday for a surprise Woodsies set? The signs are certainly stacking up… 🌙🎤

🚽 Rod’s Glasto Bog

Sir Rod Stewart has teamed up with WaterAid to unveil a giant boombox-shaped toilet at Glastonbury Festival — and it’s already turning heads.

The ‘Boombox Bog’, a bold and brilliantly eccentric creation, has been installed near the iconic Pyramid Stage. Designed with help from the veteran rocker himself, the vivid blue structure features a leopard print motif — a nod to one of Sir Rod’s signature fashion choices — and a functional toilet hidden behind its oversized tape deck.

Sir Rod, 80, is set to play the much-loved Sunday Teatime Legends slot on the Pyramid Stage this weekend, with the Boombox Bog offering a unique warm-up to his highly anticipated set.

“I’ve spent my life singing to packed arenas and festival crowds, but nothing hits a high note quite like clean water and a decent loo,” said the singer.

“They might not be sexy, but they’re life-changing. That’s why I’ve teamed up with WaterAid to bring our funky Boombox Bog to Glastonbury Festival and shine a light on the importance of these everyday essentials that millions still live without. Together, we’re creating change that’s gonna last forever.”

The interactive installation isn’t just eye-catching — it’s musical too. Festival-goers will hear some of Sir Rod’s greatest hits, including Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? and Sailing, playing from the boombox speakers. It also features specially recorded messages from the singer championing the need for clean water and decent sanitation around the world.

WaterAid hopes the attention-grabbing toilet will help spark important conversations among festival crowds, while offering a light-hearted and entertaining reminder of the charity’s global mission.

Strummerville is set to ignite Thursday at Glastonbury 2025 with a stacked line-up blending activism, emerging talent, and some seriously heavyweight names.

Leading the charge is Tom Walker, the BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter known for his soulful vocals and emotional hits like Leave a Light On. He’ll be gracing the stage from 18:00 to 18:40, bringing stadium-level energy to this intimate corner of the festival.

Later in the evening, acclaimed experimental artist WU-LU takes over at 22:00, promising a genre-blurring set full of raw power, hip-hop grit, and post-punk attitude.

Rounding off the night in epic fashion, JOEI SUPERNOVA will headline the early hours with a high-octane DJ set from 01:30 to 03:00, delivering deep beats and late-night euphoria under the stars.

🗞️ Get your Glastonbury Free Press

Tucked away in one corner of Worthy Farm, an old-fashioned printing press clatters through the night — but it’s not a relic of the past. It’s the beating heart of the Glastonbury Free Press, the festival’s very own newspaper, produced on-site and bursting with the latest news, artist interviews, and perhaps a few tantalising hints about secret sets and mysterious TBA slots.

Published during the festival, the Free Press is a unique slice of Glastonbury tradition, combining heritage printmaking with modern-day festival culture. This year’s first edition will be available from 9am on Thursday, 26 June.

Inside the Free Press tent, there’s a nostalgic aroma of hot ink as the first pages roll out. The production process is as authentic as it gets: reverse-embossed metal plates, crafted and collected in Bristol, are pressed against thick reels of paper to create each page. The inside pages are printed first; once they’ve dried, the sheets are flipped and fed through again to print the front and back covers.

Though the iconic Pyramid Stage is widely thought to be the only structure that remains at Worthy Farm all year round, that’s not quite true. The Glastonbury Free Press printing press — a mighty five-tonne machine — also has a permanent place on site. It sits atop a huge concrete slab, purpose-built to stop the heavyweight equipment from sinking into the soil.

While festivalgoers buzz about surprise sets and headline acts, the Free Press offers a more tactile way to stay in the know — a lovingly crafted souvenir that reflects the spirit and stories of Glastonbury, quite literally hot off the press.

📌 Fun Facts:

  • 📅 Thursday, 26 June – 9am: First edition of the Glastonbury Free Press released
  • 💻 Ongoing: Printing plates created and collected in Bristol
  • 🧱 Permanent: Five-tonne press sits year-round on a custom-built concrete base at Worthy Farm
