Emily Eavis

Eavis confirmed that there are a “couple of blokes in next year” and that “Madonna would be amazing”

Earlier today (Saturday, November 10th), Glastonbury Festival curator Emily Eavis spoke to BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball as one of the guest speakers at this weekend’s BBC Music Introducing Live in London.

Being in charge of one of the worlds most renowned music festival, Eavis gave a behind-the-scenes peek into the day-to-day role-logistics of one of the coolest jobs on earth.

Speaking to Ball, Eavis firstly confirmed that they have not booked Fleetwood Mac for next year’s festival, saying: “it’s been close a few times and hopefully one day…”

She then also confirmed that there are a “couple of blokes in next year…” and that “Madonna would be amazing”.

Before also revealing that the Friday night headliner is a British male – “It’s one of the most exciting acts in British music… someone who can completely do this” it’s a chance for “HIM” to become the “massive name they can be”. (We would just add that at the moment, all arrows are pointing strongly in the direction of Grime heavyweight, Stormzy).
