The new official offsite pre-erected campsite will be introduced at Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary in 2020
As part of Glastonbury’s continued commitment to reducing waste at the Festival, a new official offsite campsite – Sticklinch – will be introduced at the 2020 edition of the Festival next summer.
The new Sticklinch campsite will be located on the former site of the West Campervan Fields for the 2020 Festival.
Like Worthy View, Sticklinch will offer unpretentious, custom-made and pre-erected Festival accommodation a short walk from the Festival site for those who would like to have a tent ready and waiting for them on arrival at the Festival, and nothing to carry home but their bags.
Glastonbury says that “The Sticklinch pre-erected campsite will be home to a range of Podpads, Yurts and Bell Tents, as well as a limited number of the Festival’s signature scout-style tents, and offers a more gently undulating walk to the Festival site, ideal for those who find the climb to Worthy View challenging.”
Sticklinch also benefits from car parking in an adjacent field to the campsite, though Glastonbury encourages anyone leaving their tent at home in favour of ‘glamping’ to use public transport wherever possible.
Additional campervan pitches will be available in Campervans East and at the Bath & West Showground to accommodate the displaced campervans and caravans.
As with Worthy View, as well as being the first to secure Glastonbury tickets, those who have booked to travel to the Festival with a coach + ticket package will have priority booking when booking opens for Sticklinch Campsite.
Who is eligible for Sticklinch tickets?
Where is Sticklinch located?
The Sticklinch campsite is located West of the Festival site, in the former West Campervan fields. Pedestrian access to the site through the former West Campervan Pedestrian Gate (between the Bailey’s and South Park camping grounds, near Cineramageddon) is via a footpath with a gentle gradient across Rigg’s Field campsite. See map above.
Vehicle access to the Sticklinch car park is via Orange Route from the A361.
Festival-goers at Sticklinch will benefit from designated car parks, in the adjacent field to the campsite, and a short walk from any off-site campsite to the late night entertainment areas.
How much will Sticklinch accommodation cost?
A list of TicketPlan Booking Refund Protection fees can be found below:
The Glastonbury Festival website states that “All prices are for five nights – Wednesday June 24th to Sunday June 28th, inclusive. Prices do not include Festival tickets. Everyone who wishes to stay at Sticklinch must have a valid Festival ticket.”
The full Sticklinch Accommodation Options breakdown can be found here.
When and where will I be able to buy and pay for Sticklinch accommodation?
Coach + ticket package holders will have access to a pre-sale for Sticklinch accommodation from 6pm on Thursday 21st November, 2019.
The pre-sale will be followed by a general release for coach package and general admission ticket holders at 7pm on Thursday 21st November, 2019.
Sticklinch bookings will be taken exclusively by the Festival’s nominated booking agency, See Tickets.
To make a booking you will be required to enter the registration number you used when booking your Festival ticket. Please note you will need to present this ticket on arrival when checking in at your accommodation.
When booking, you will also be asked to supply the names of each person staying in your accommodation. You will also be asked to provide some information about your expected day, time and method of arrival at the campsite.
Having booked accommodation via See Tickets, you will receive a confirmation email to confirm your reservation within 24 hours, and will receive a follow-up message from the Festival in May 2020 with further details of your accommodation and access information.
How many Sticklinch accommodation units can I book?
You may book up to 2 units of accommodation per booking. Car parking tickets for Sticklinch will also be available to book when making an accommodation booking. Please note that if you are staying at Sticklinch and wish to arrive by car, you must buy a Sticklinch Car Park Ticket – not a general Festival Car Park Ticket.
Where possible the Festival will endeavour to meet requests for friends and family groups to be located together if booking the same accommodation type and campsite, however this service cannot be guaranteed.

Accommodation options for Glastonbury 2020 – which include Worthy View, Tipi Village and Campervan/Caravan tickets and now the new Sticklinch – will go on sale Thursday 21st November – priority at 6pm and General at 7pm. Glastonbury’s pre-pitched tents have a history of selling out in minutes, so the extra campsite will be a welcome addition.
Despite the fact that the full line-up for Glastonbury 2020 has yet to be released – all tickets for the Festival’s 50th anniversary have now sold out, with General Admission tickets selling out in 33 minutes, following Coach + Ticket Packages which sold out in just 27 minutes.
There are still ways to go to Glastonbury next year, and in addition to being able to volunteer – there will also be a resale of any cancelled tickets in the spring, with coach + ticket packages going up for resale on April 16 – followed by a general admission tickets resale (which don’t include travel) on April 19.
Glastonbury 2020 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.
