Standard tickets for the 2025 edition of Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 35 minutes this morning after going on sale at 9:00am – which is 22 minutes quicker than last year’s sale.

Today’s sale followed a swift sellout of tickets packaged with coach travel last Thursday (14th November), which completely sold out in only 32 minutes.

Keeping with tradition, only pre-registered buyers could access the two online sales as part of Glastonbury’s continued drive against ticket touting.

Hundreds of thousands of Glasto-fans were up bright and early ready at their computer screens in the second of two ticket sales for the chance to buy tickets to the Worthy Farm event next summer.

The sale this morning was the second time fans got to experience the new queueing system, which was announced earlier this month and replaces the manual “refresh” method used in previous years.

Rather than refreshing the holding page to attempt to access the booking page, this year, when the ticket sales began, everyone who was already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page was randomly assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process.

Half of the tickets for Glastonbury 2025 were sold within 24 minutes into the sale, with See Tickets – the company running ticket sales – posting a message to their official X (Twitter) account confirming that “bookings for Glastonbury are being processed”, while asking fans who are already in the queue to not refresh their browsers or open multiple tabs, as they will lose their place in the queue.

By 9:35am the official Glastonbury X (Twitter) page announced that “Tickets for Glastonbury 2025 have now Sold Out”.

In addition to thanking everyone who bought tickets, while expressing condolences to “those of you who missed out, on a morning when demand greatly exceeded supply” — the Worthy Farm Festival also reminded fans that “there will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2025”.

See Tickets then posted a message reiterating that all tickets have now sold out and confirming that “confirmation emails are going out now” to those who were successful in bagging the golden ticket.

Now that both Coach Ticket Packages and General Admission tickets have all sold out, apart from a small allocation of tickets that is usually kept back for local residents in a separate ticket sale (and with the rest of the tickets being reserved for those working at the festival), the next option to buy tickets for this year’s event will be in the resale of any unpaid and / or cancelled tickets that will take place in April 2025.

As of 2022, the total capacity for Glastonbury Festival was set at 210,000 people (including staff, volunteers, performers, traders and others). However, it is estimated that roughly 140,000 tickets (of which around 22,000 are dedicated coach packages) were made available across the two ticket sales this November.

The appeal for Glastonbury Festival tickets is always extremely high and nowadays demand well outstrips the supply — which can clearly be seen by how quickly tickets sell out each year.

Before this year’s November sales, the last time a main Glastonbury ticket sale took place was in November of 2023, when coach ticket packages sold out in just 25 minutes, and regular tickets were all gone in 57 minutes — all of which were conducted using the old queueless ticket sale system.

Glastonbury 2025 are sold exclusively at glastonbury.seetickets.com and cost £373.50, plus a £5 booking fee (which is a £18.50 hike from the 2024 price of £355 plus a £5 booking fee), of which a £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket including coach travel options) is payable when booking in November – with the balance payable in the first week of April 2025.

More Info

Generally speaking, before fans can anticipate getting in the online queue once a sale goes live, it’s imperative to register in order to be able to access tickets. In an effort to prevent touting, tickets for Glastonbury Festival are non-transferable, meaning that each person’s ticket is linked with the name, address and photo they provide when registering.

Anyone aged 13 or over who wants to attend the Festival must register online before tickets go on sale, as a registration number will be needed when purchasing tickets and before the deposit can be paid. That said, those aged 12 or younger when gates open for the event in 2025 don’t need a ticket, and therefore do not need to register.

Back in August of 2023, Glastonbury officials notified festival-goers they had until the end of September [2023] to ensure that their details would remain valid ahead of an expected ticket sale that autumn.

The official Glastonbury Festival website stated: “Any registrations submitted prior to 2020 require reviewing and confirmation before 30th September 2023, with any non-confirmed registrations being deleted on 2nd October 2023 and you will be required to submit a new registration before you can try and book tickets for the 2024 Festival and future years”.

Although the registration window is currently closed due to the upcoming ticket sales, it will open once again before the resale in April [2025], at which time you’ll be able to register here, or check your already exciting registration here, for ticket access when the time comes.

⚠️ Bogus Operators

Glastonbury Festival would very much like fans to be aware that there are people out there who will try and sell fake Glastonbury tickets to unsuspecting, willing and innocent potential purchasers. Although Glasto-veterans who have been going to the Festival for quite some time may recognise these scams for what they are, newcomers might not.

Please do not risk falling victim to touts, bogus operators or fake promotions / contests. If you have doubts about any company offering tickets, accommodation or competitions to access Glastonbury Festival, please get in touch with the Festival office – And as always, remember that tickets are sold only on one site, which is glastonbury.seetickets.com

Other News

As with every Glastonbury-year, speculation about who might play the legendary festival is always very high, and with the 2025 event fast approaching, the Glasto Rumour Mill is already spinning in full force.

Although no acts have been Officially Confirmed for the Glastonbury 2025 line-up as of this moment in time, some prominent headliner names currently making the rumour rounds include Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Fender, as well as Cher – who is also lightly mentioned in the Legends slot context.

Despite the first line-up poster not usually being revealed until the beginning of March, followed by the full line-up announcement sometime at the end of May (and a string of individual area line-up announcements in between), there are many artists who ‘self-confirm’ before the official announcements by divulging the news via interviews, social media or website listings to accompany the ever-growing rumours.
