Glastonbury released its first batch of resale tickets this evening (Thursday, 24th April) for its 2025 edition of the Festival and saw them all sell out in just 32 minutes. Ticket + Coach Travel options went up for resale at 6pm (BST) and were all gone by 6:32pm.

15 minutes into the resale at 6:15pm, See Tickets (who runs the ticket sales on behalf of Glastonbury Festival) informed fans that “any departures for Glastonbury 2025 showing as ‘tickets not available’ are now fully booked”, while asking them to “please select an alternative departure day/time, or refresh the page to check for any failed transactions returning to sale.”

Two minutes later, at 6:17pm, See Tickets confirmed that Wednesday coach tickets for Glastonbury 2025 have sold out, while limited departures are still available for Thursday.

After roughly 18 minutes into the resale, confirmations started appearing on X (Twitter) from happy buyers who managed to purchase the elusive and highly sought-after tickets.

One fan couldn’t help but share the bursting excitement, announcing: “Finally going to Glasto!”

Others, on the other hand, weren’t so lucky, with one X user dubbing the green queue bars as the ‘green bars of death’, while another expressed his frustration, saying: “If there isn’t a bar a Glastonbury called the Green Two Bar Club then they’re missing a trick”.

Finally, at 6:32pm, See Tickets announced that all coach packages for Glastonbury 2025 have “SOLD OUT”.

In the same post, the ticket company also reminded fans that “the general admission ticket resale will take place Sunday at 9am (BST).”

The sale this evening was also the third time fans got to experience the new queue system, which was originally announced late last year and replaces the manual “refresh” method used in previous years.

Rather than refreshing the holding page to attempt to access the booking page, this year, when the ticket sales begin, everyone who is already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page is randomly assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process.

Following its forced cancellation in 2020 and 2021 due to the worldwide pandemic, the legendary event returned for three consecutive years in 2022, 2023 and 2024, and will once again be back this summer between 25th and 29th June [2025], ahead of a scheduled fallow year in 2026.

Last November, the first main batch of tickets, including tickets packaged with coach travel, sold out in just 32 minutes, before General Admission tickets were all snapped up in exactly 35 minutes.

After paying a £75 deposit towards their admission pass on Ticket Sale Day, ticket-holders had one week to pay for the remainder of their ticket balance – between 1st April and 7th April – or lose it and see it go back into the pot for resale.

Any tickets purchased in resales must be paid for in full at the point of booking and cost £378.50, including a £5 booking fee per ticket (plus your coach fare if booking a coach ticket package).

For comparison’s sake, in 2024, the resale of Ticket + Coach Travel options sold out in 18 minutes, while the General Admission tickets were all gone in just 22 minutes.

As in previous years, the exact number of tickets in the resales will not be announced, but it is a very limited quantity.

The final chance to purchase tickets for Glastonbury 2025 will be when General Admission tickets go on sale at 9am (BST) on Sunday, 27th April, which will then be followed by a resale of Accommodation Options at 11am (BST) that morning.

Ticket Opportunities

In addition to the ticket resales (mentioned above), some other opportunities for getting to Glastonbury include volunteering and working at the Festival, as well as entering competitions (once those options make themselves available).

Just recently, Brother Cider, who have once again been confirmed as the ‘Official Cider’ of Glastonbury Festival for 2025, announced that they are giving away 5 pairs of tickets to this year’s event.

Other chances for winning tickets to this year’s event include Vodafone, Chilly’s, Barbour & Oxfam, and more — as detailed in our daily updated list of Glastonbury competitions, here.

Latest Lineup

Woodsies was the seventh area to reveal its lineup for this year’s Festival this morning (Thursday, 24th April), after Kidzfield, Croissant Neuf, Silver Hayes, West Holts, Field of Avalon, and the Acoustic Stage.

Although the full Glasto line-up doesn’t tend to get released until the end of May / beginning of June, this year, the first main line-up poster was announced on Thursday morning (6th March), in which it confirmed that headliners The 1975, (previously announced) Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, will all be taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, and Sunday 29th of June, respectively.

Meanwhile, Rod Stewart (who, like Young, was announced before the lineup poster revelation) is set for this year’s coveted Sunday afternoon tea-time Legends slot, which, by many, has come to be seen as the fourth headliner slot of the event.

With less than 62 days to go until Glastonbury opens its gates for this summer’s event, we can expect more individual areas and stages to announce their dedicated line-ups over the coming weeks, before the full bill gets revealed in the buildup to this year’s Festival.

That said, there are many artists who ‘self-confirm’ before the official announcements by divulging the news via interviews, social media or website listings to accompany the ever-growing Glasto rumours.
