Has Jeff Goldblum just self-confirmed for Glastonbury 2020?

Emily Eavis has invited Jeff Goldblum to return to Worthy Farm for Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary in 2020

Jeff Goldblum has expressed his desire to return to Glastonbury following his appearance at the Worthy Farm-held event at the 2019 edition of the Festival.

The iconic actor and musician is best known for Hollywood franchises like Jurassic Park, Independence Day, and The Fly – but he’s nurtured another love, albeit quietly, for most of his life: jazz.

Appearing on BBC One’s The One Show earlier this evening (Friday, November 1), Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis was talking about the Festival 50th anniversary in 2020 and the new Glastonbury 50 book. Upon mentioning Diana Ross as being appointed to next year’s Legend slot, Goldblum was quick to say I’ll be there, I wanna see that. Eavis then asked You’ll come back, won’t you Jeff?, with the actor/jazz musician replying If you invite me, I’ll be there – I had the best time ever.

Jeff Goldblum played Glastonbury for the first time ever earlier this year accompanied by his band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra – John Storie (guitar), Alex Frank (Bass), Kenny Elliott (drums), Joe Bagg (organ) and James King (tenor sax).

Meanwhile, Carl Cox has also just recently self-confirmed for Glastonbury 50th, following official announcement confirmations of both Wolf Alice and Diana Ross for the Glastonbury 2020 bill.

Despite the fact that the full line-up for Glastonbury 2020 has yet to be released – all tickets for the Festival’s 50th anniversary have now sold out, with General Admission tickets selling out in 33 minutes, following Coach + Ticket Packages which sold out in just 27 minutes.

There will be a resale of any cancelled tickets in the spring, with coach + ticket packages going up for resale on April 16 – followed by a general admission tickets resale (which don’t include travel) on April 19.

Glastonbury 2020 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.
