Join Emily Eavis and guests for the launch of the new book ‘Glastonbury 50’

Billy Bragg, Ed O’Brien, Caitlin Moran and Mary McCartney will all be joining Emily Eavis for Glastonbury’s highly anticipated book launch

Emily Eavis, organiser of Glastonbury Festival; will be joined by Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien; journalist and author Caitlin MoranBilly Bragg, singer, songwriter and activist; photographer Mary McCartney and chair Dorian Lynskey for an evening to celebrate 50 years of Glastonbury.

Eavis and her guests will share their own festival memories and explain why Glastonbury is like no other festival, while celebrating 5 decades of the legendary Worthy Farm extravaganza.

The event, hosted by The Guardian Live, is set to take place at Union Chapel, London, N1 2UN on Thursday 31 October 2019, 8pm–9.30pm.

Running time: 90 minutes, no interval. Doors will open at 7pm.

Tickets for this event are £25 or £45 with a signed copy of Glastonbury 50 (RRP £30).

Entitled ‘Glastonbury 50’, the book will draw on archive material and including exclusive photos and artwork, the book will include stories and interviews, and look at memorable events from the festival’s colourful history – featuring a host of big names including some past headliners which have signed up to contribute pieces to the official book.

Alongside co-authors Michael and Emily Eavis, who run the festival, featured names will include Noel Gallagher, Dolly Parton, Jay Z, Chris Martin, Billy Bragg, Guy Garvey, Caitlin Moran, John Humphreys, John Cooper Clarke and Lauren Laverne have all written original pieces for the book.

Meanwhile, Rough Trade Bristol have also announced yesterday (September 10), that they will play host to an in-store signing of the new book which will feature both Michael Eavis and Emily Eavis – set to take place in early November.
