Glastonbury officials have released the first public version of the Glasto 2025 map ahead of this year’s highly anticipated festival.

The new Glastonbury Festival 2025 map, which became available to view via the Festival’s official website this morning (17th May), features several changes and adjustments.

Although a lot of the updates are aimed at more accurately reflecting the actual representation on the ground across the Worthy Farm site, there are some major changes to late-night areas, as well as expansion of open spaces and alterations to public and staff camping.

You can now view the first public version of the Glastonbury 2025 map by clicking here, but while doing so, please do keep in mind that, as in previous years, the map usually undergoes several (minor) iterations between its initial publication and the Festival.

Looking at this year’s map in comparison to last year’s one [2024], we’ve highlighted each of the updates and changes below, broken down by individual areas and stages.

Glastonbury Festival Map – 2025 vs 2024

Shangri-La:

  • Dragon’s Tail — One of the biggest changes to this year’s map features a transformation to Shangri-La; now boasting a larger open space as well as a new zone called Dragon’s Tail and a relocated bar. This coincides with recent news of the late-night area unveiling a bold new look for 2025, with fresh stages, a mysterious theme called ‘The Wilding’, and major changes across the Southeast corner

Other Field:

  • Less Oxlyers, more Other — Oxlyers has now been scaled back to allow for more room in the Other Stage Field.

Silver Hayes:

  • More space — Silver Hayes has seen a slight expansion in real estate, especially around Assembly area.
  • Firmly Rooted Soundsystem — Now apparently located west of The Levels, as opposed to east of it, according to the new map, as shown below.

The Glade:

  • Extra room — Like Silver Hayes (mentioned above), The Glade has now also been given additional space, expanding eastwards.

The Park:

  • Added toilets — In a highly thought-after and appreciated addition, two new toilet blocks have now been added atop the Park Hill — one on the east side, while the other on the west.

Pylon Ground:

  • Increased public camping — A cornered-off area that was previously reserved solely for staff camping has now been reallocated for public camping, as indicated by the dark green colour on the map (as opposed to the lighter green map key).

Bushy Ground, South Park 2, Pennards:

  • Decreased public camping — Staying on the topic of public camping; in contrast to Pylon Ground, where public camping space has increased, in Bushy Ground, South Park 2, and Pennards, it has decreased, while making way for more staff camping in Bushy, South Park 2, and both the family camping fields (Wicket and Cockmaill).

Campervans East:

  • E24, no more — Apparently replaced by Festivue Glamping, in the Campervan Fields, with an E25 expansion, seemingly taking over part of E13.

Lineup News

Organisers have recently been gradually releasing separate line-up posters for the many areas, stages, and venues across the site in the run-up to this year’s Festival. Those who’ve been revealed so far include the Acoustic Stage, Field of Avalon, West Holts, Silver Hayes, Croissant Neuf, Shangri-La, Kidzfield, Woodsies, Glasto Latino, The Glade, Left Field, Theatre & Circus, San Remo, The Common, Arcadia, Pilton Palais, Unfairground, Block9, and most recently The Park.

Before the string of posters began to drop, the first main line-up poster was revealed earlier this year (6th March), in which it confirmed that headliners The 1975, (previously announced) Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo will all be taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, and Sunday 29th of June, respectively.

Rod Stewart was also announced as this year’s Sunday afternoon tea-time Legends slot performer. Other names featured in the ever-growing bill include Loyle Carner, Charli XCX, Biffy Clyro, The Maccabees, Lucy Dacus, Father John Misty, RAYE, Wolf Alice, The Prodigy, Doechii, St. Vincent, Gary Numan, Deftones, Scissor Sisters, The Libertines, Wet Leg — and first-time appearances from Alanis Morissette, Doechii and En Vogue.

More individual areas and stages lineups are expected to be announced over the coming weeks, before the full bill gets revealed sometime at the end of May / beginning of June.

That said, there are many artists who ‘self-confirm’ before the official announcements by divulging the news via interviews, social media or website listings to accompany the ever-growing Glasto rumours.

Build Progress

Meanwhile, with each passing day, in preparation for this year’s highly anticipated event, Worthy Farm is looking more and more like the world-famous Glastonbury Festival we all know and love.

The iconic Pyramid Stage finally began to get dressed last month (10th April), after the covers (which were dropped off days earlier and lying on the ground beside the iconic structure) were raised and cloaked over the Port side of the pyramid skeleton, as seen in the visual post below.

With gates to the public on the 25th of June, and as more containers carrying equipment continue to arrive on-site intermittently, we can expect the build to grow in intensity as more iconic stages and venues come to life once again to create the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world.

You can now continue following the build via the BBC Glastonbury webcam, here.

Ticket Opportunities

The final batch of General Admission tickets for the 2025 Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 19 minutes last month, after going on sale at 9am on Sunday, 27th April.

Keeping with tradition, only pre-registered buyers could access the online sales as part of Glastonbury’s continued drive against ticket touting.

Hundreds of thousands of Glasto-fans were up bright and early, ready at their computer screens in the second of two ticket resales for the chance of buying tickets for Glastonbury 2025 — after tickets completely sold out when they originally went up for sale last November.

Last November saw the first main wave of tickets, which included tickets packaged with coach travel selling out in just 32 minutes, before General Admission tickets were all snapped up in 35 minutes.
