Snow Patrol forced to withdraw from Glastonbury 2019 performance

The Charlatans will be taking their slot at Worthy Farm

Snow Patrol have been forced to cancel their Glastonbury 2019 gig, due to Johnny McDaid suffering from a serious problem with his neck.

The Other Stage, Friday-6.30pm-slot will be filled by The Charlatans.

Glastonbury Festival officially confirmed the news of on Twitter this evening (June 25) saying “Unfortunately @SnowPatrol have been forced to withdraw from their Other Stage performance at #Glastonbury2019, which was due to be on Friday at 6.30pm. That slot will now be taken by @TheCharlatans.”


The band said on Facebook: “We are sorry to have to announce the cancellation of more shows.

Our dear brother, piano and guitar player Johnny McDaid has a serious problem with his neck and after consulting with some top neurosurgeons they are all in agreement that the only course of action is immediate surgery. ” See the full announcement below.


Shortly after, The Charlatans took to Twitter to confirm their appearance for the Other Stage slot “We’ll be playing at 6.30pm on The Other Stage this Friday #Glastonbury2019”.
