Spice Girls‘ Mel C has revealed the girl group want to headline Glastonbury Festival
Earlier this year, all five members of the iconic girl group made up of Mel C, Geri Horner, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham, were considering reunion plans, saying that “the time feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together”.
Since then, there were reports of new music, touring as a four-piece, and even an animated superhero movie.
Speaking about her aspirations yesterday Thursday (May 31), at the Ivor Novello Awards, Mel simply told The Mirror: “Glastonbury.”
Although thoughts of the Spice Girls headlining Glastonbury may be the announcement of a lifetime for some, while at the same time run shivers through the spines of other, according to festival founder and organiser Michael Eavis, the line-up for 2019 has already been booked. That basically means the girl group would have to wait for the following year, which would subsequently be the festival’s 50th anniversary.
