The Killers odds to headline Glastonbury 2019 have just been slashed by bookies’

According to reports the likelihood of The Killers headlining Glastonbury 2019 has just increased dramatically

According to NME, The Killers are now the bookies’ favourites to take to the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

After a sudden spike in bets, the band currently hold odds of 1/2 on 888sport for a slot on the iconic Pyramid Stage on either Saturday, June 29 or Sunday, June 30, 2019.

“’Somebody Told Me’ that The Killers could be on for another Glastonbury headliner slot this year – so we’ve cut our odds after they’ve been well backed,” said a spokesman for 888sport. “Brandon Flowers would certainly be ‘The Man’ for the job, and after a flurry of bets, we think they’re set to light up the Pyramid Stage once again.”

The Las Vegas band last surprised Glasto-goers at last year’s festival as they too to the John Peel stage as the very much anticipated ‘secret set’.

Brandon Flowers and co last headlined Glastonbury back in 2007.

A rumour of The Cure headlineing Glastonbury 2019 has also been making the rounds, especially with Emily Eavis recently revealing Robert Smith’s band as one of the first ever bands she got into.

The Cure are currently leading the pack on the 888sport website with odds now standing at 2/5, followed by The killers at 4/9 and The Strokes currently coming in at 6/4.

So far, Stormzy has been announced as the first Pyramid Stage headliner, while Janelle Monae has been confirmed to top the bill on the West Holts Stage and Kylie Minogue will take the Sunday afternoon ‘Legends Slot’.

Although the line-up will probably not be unveiled by the festival’s officials until the end of March / beginning of April, you can check out the latest Glastonbury 2019 confirmed headliners & line-up rumours roundup HERE.

Glastonbury 2019 will take place between June 26 and 30 at Worthy Farm, Pilton.
