As Glastonbury Festival 2025 edges closer, ticket holders are already preparing for their pilgrimage to Worthy Farm. With just under two weeks to go, attention naturally turns to the one thing that can make or break the experience: the weather.
Packing for Glastonbury has never been straightforward — especially when the forecast remains unpredictable. While poring over historical weather patterns might offer some entertainment, it does little to prepare festivalgoers for what lies ahead. And as seasoned attendees will know, British weather can turn on a dime.
The gates to the world’s largest greenfield music and performing arts festival open on Wednesday 25 June 2025, and with that in mind, we’ve taken an early look at the long-range forecast using a mixture of weather sources, including the Met Office, beloved Glasto weather guru Gavin Partridge, and the BBC.

📊 Don’t Rely Too Heavily Just Yet
A quick word of caution: any weather forecast made this far in advance should be taken with a pinch of salt. Predictions can shift drastically from day to day. Just ask anyone who attended the 2019 edition. Initial forecasts predicted heavy thundery showers — but by the time the festival rolled around, it turned into a mixed bag of light rain early in the week, followed by hot and humid conditions.
So, while we can begin to get a sense of what’s to come, it’s still far too soon to make concrete plans around the forecast. Keep those wellies and sun cream on standby — you might need both.

🌍 Met Office Long-Range Outlook: Warm, Settled South – But Keep the Poncho Handy
With Glastonbury 2025 set to kick off on Wednesday, the 25th of June, and end on Sunday, the 29th of June, the Met Office’s long-range weather forecast currently predicts a mixed but mild forecast in the lead-up to this year’s festival.
🗓️ Wednesday 18 June – Saturday 12 July
The run-up to Glastonbury is shaping up to be mostly dry and fine — especially across the southeast, where Worthy Farm sits. That’s great news for early birds heading to set up camp, with comfortable conditions likely dominating much of the week.
However, a classic British weather split looks set to develop. The northwest is expected to see wetter, windier conditions, while the Glasto region should remain more settled. Don’t get too confident though — there’s still a chance of isolated heavy showers or even a thunderstorm popping up here and there. So yes, keep your waterproofs handy… just in case.
Temperatures are forecast to hover around or slightly above normal, with the possibility of some warmer spells as the festival kicks off. Ideal conditions for lazy afternoons in the Green Fields or golden-hour sets at the Stone Circle.
Looking beyond the main weekend, the same northwest-southeast split is likely to linger into early July. Worthy Farm should stay relatively dry overall, but occasional rain or a thundery downpour can’t be ruled out. The good news? It’s expected to stay on the warmer side, with continued hints of summer heat just around the corner.
🌦 Gavin’s Long-Range Forecast: “One of the Drier Years?”
Weather forecaster Gavin Partridge of GavsWeatherVids has kicked off his annual series of Glasto weather updates, and his first report is an optimistic one. According to Partridge, high pressure is expected to dominate the UK in the lead-up to and throughout the main festival dates (25 – 29 June), bringing dry skies and soaring temperatures.
Utilising the Global Forecast System (GFS), Partridge tries to look for trends in the process of predicting the Glasto weather, while emphasising that at this period of time, we are currently in what is called the unreliable time-frame and can expect chopping and changing.
“This is probably one of the most classic sort of updates and forecasts we’ve done over all these years,” said Partridge, who has been tracking Glastonbury forecasts since 2012. “It doesn’t get better — dry, hot, sunny. If you want a prolonged spell of summer weather at the end of June, this is it.”
From Saturday, 21 June, when early volunteers begin arriving, the outlook is warm and dry. Temperatures could reach the mid-20s Celsius, with some parts of the UK pushing towards 30°C (86°F). As the gates open on Wednesday, 25 June, high pressure looks set to build again, bringing even more settled and sunny weather.
“It would be a lovely first day to Glasto,” Partridge said, noting that the Azores high is forecast to strengthen over the UK during the festival week.
By the time headliners hit the Pyramid Stage on the weekend, things heat up even further.
“We’re talking low 30s Celsius,” said Partridge. “Somewhere like Glastonbury could easily see 30°C, which is about 86°F. There’ll be bags of sunshine — it’s looking absolutely classic.”
Although the long-range forecast is promising, Partridge added a note of caution.
“Please bear in mind, this is only update number one and it is subject to change,” he reminded viewers. “We’ve seen trends flip before — so don’t get too carried away just yet.”
The next update from GavsWeatherVids is due Sunday (15 June), when forecasters will have a clearer sense of whether this warm, dry trend is here to stay. But for now, Glasto-goers can tentatively pack the sun cream and hope for what could be one of the driest festivals in recent memory.

🎪 Glastonbury 2025: Line-Up Recap & Secret Set Buzz
The full Glastonbury 2025 line-up — complete with set times — has officially dropped, and with it, a wave of excitement, speculation, and frenzied planning. Revealed at 10am on Tuesday 3 June via the festival’s social channels, this year’s epic schedule confirms over 3,000 performances across dozens of stages at Worthy Farm, Somerset, from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 June — the last edition before the festival’s planned fallow year in 2026.
While headliners The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, and Rod Stewart (in the legendary Sunday teatime slot) top the bill, fans are equally obsessed with what isn’t being revealed. A jaw-dropping 56 slots are marked “TBA”, hinting at a huge run of secret sets, spread across stages and time slots throughout the weekend.
🔍 Secret Set Frenzy

🧩 The “Patchwork” Puzzle
Of all the mystery listings, the most cryptic is “Patchwork”, scheduled for the Pyramid Stage on Saturday evening (18:15 – 19:15). Speculation is rife over who’s hiding behind the alias, with the two main rumoured acts being:
- Pulp – Their tour schedule has a Glasto-sized hole, and Candida Doyle recently mentioned patchwork on BBC Radio 2.
- Haim – Their only UK show is the day before in Margate, and clues tied to novels and films named Patchwork fuel fan theories.
🔥 More Rumours Swirling
It doesn’t stop at Patchwork. Artists rumoured for the remaining secret slots include:
- Lorde, whose album Virgin drops on 27 June and who teased a return on BBC Radio 2
- Lewis Capaldi, following a tentative comeback
- Yungblud, fresh off BludFest and album release
- Lana Del Rey, whose 2023 set was cut short
- Lady Gaga, who hinted she could be tempted back
🌟 Big Debuts & Clashes
First-timers gracing Worthy Farm include Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan, Busta Rhymes, Brandi Carlile, and Gary Numan. One notable schedule clash already has fans torn — Doechii’s West Holts headline overlaps with Charli XCX on the Other Stage.
With the countdown on, speculation is part of the Glasto experience — and with many question marks still looming, there’s plenty to keep fans guessing. Keep those eyes peeled, boots ready, and schedules bookmarked — the festival is only just getting started.

📱 Glastonbury 2025 App by Vodafone
Earlier this month, Glastonbury released its 2025 app, powered by Vodafone and “packed full of even more exciting features to help you plan your ultimate Festival experience”.
This year’s headline addition is live location sharing, allowing users to track and reunite with friends across the busy site — whether they’ve snagged a great spot for Dua Lipa at the Pyramid Stage or wandered off for a legendary vegan burger.
Another standout feature is step count tracking, now built into the popular ‘My Highlights’ post-Festival wrap. Festival-goers can compare their steps to see who covered the most ground—or who danced the longest—over the long weekend.
But the innovation doesn’t stop at convenience. Vodafone has tied this new feature to a meaningful initiative: for every average step count logged by attendees, the company will match it with a donation through its everyone.connected campaign — up to a generous 75,000 donations. These contributions will help provide connectivity, devices and digital skills to underserved communities across the UK.
The application, created by Vodafone – and which can be downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store – is the only official app for the event and gives music fans the chance to stay connected with the latest live Festival updates, while navigating their way around the 1000-acre site and creating their own personalised line-ups to share and more.
🔧 Returning and Upgraded Features
- Spotify integration offers personalised artist recommendations.
- Shared Line-Ups now auto-update, making it easier to coordinate plans.
- ‘Add to Favourites’ lets users shortlist must-see acts.
- An upgraded map search tool helps fans locate food stalls, merch, campsites and more.
- Map Pinning helps find your tent (or that legendary falafel stand).
- Smart scheduling alerts fans when artist set times overlap.

🗺️ New 2025 Festival Map Released
On 17th May, the first public version of the Glastonbury 2025 map dropped on the official website, complete with updates and changes for this year’s edition.
Some of the changes include more space for the Other Stage field, which means a scale back for the adjoining Oxylers campsite. Elsewhere, public camping space has decreased in Bushy Ground, South Park 2, and Pennards — unlike Pylon Ground, where it has increased. The reduction has made way for more staff camping in Bushy and South Park 2, as well as expanded family camping in Wicket and Cockmill fields.

⛺ Camping Guide
When camping at Glastonbury Festival, remember, each campsite has its pluses and minuses, and every person has their varied wants and needs — it’s not a “one size fits all” scenario.
Your Glastonbury ticket price includes access to all the camping fields, which means you can choose to pitch your tent anywhere within the designated camping zones that reside throughout the Festival fields, spanning from right next to the Pyramid Stage, to more tranquil areas on the outskirts of the Festival.

The final batch of General Admission tickets for the 2025 Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 19 minutes last month, after going on sale at 9am on Sunday, 27th April.
Keeping with tradition, only pre-registered buyers could access the online sales as part of Glastonbury’s continued drive against ticket touting.
Hundreds of thousands of Glasto-fans were up bright and early, ready at their computer screens in the second of two ticket resales for the chance of buying tickets for Glastonbury 2025 — after tickets completely sold out when they originally went up for sale last November.
Last November saw the first main wave of tickets, which included tickets packaged with coach travel selling out in just 32 minutes, before General Admission tickets were all snapped up in 35 minutes.
