It has now been one week since we posted our first (long-range) weather forecast, ahead of the gates opening on the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world for Glastonbury 2025.

Following up on our previous forecast summary, and with the entire Festival time frame now fitting within the GFS (Global Forecast System) models, we can finally take a closer look at a medium-range forecast.

That said, let us once again point out that these long-to-medium models are still quite imprecise about the end of the Festival and will, therefore, at this point, obtain only general trends.

🌍 Met Office Mid-Range Outlook: Mixed Weather Ahead as Glastonbury Enters Final Days of June

With Glastonbury 2025 set to kick off on Wednesday, the 25th of June, and end on Sunday, the 29th of June, the Met Office’s mid-range weather forecast currently predicts a mixed but mild forecast in the lead-up to this year’s festival — Those heading to Glastonbury next week may need to pack both wellies and sun cream, with a mixed bag of weather forecast for Worthy Farm.

🗓️ Forecast period: Wednesday 25 June – Friday 4 July

Festivalgoers can expect rather changeable conditions during the Glastonbury period, as a series of Atlantic low-pressure systems are forecast to pass to the northwest of the UK. According to the Met Office, this setup is likely to bring occasional spells of rain or showers — especially in the north and west of the country, where it may also feel breezy at times.

However, the south and east — including Somerset — could fare better, with longer dry spells likely under the influence of high pressure. There’s also the potential for brief surges of very warm air arriving from the continent on southerly winds, possibly bringing short-lived heat and, at times, a risk of isolated thunderstorms.

While unsettled conditions may make an appearance midweek, there’s still plenty of promise for sunny, summer-like moments as the festival gets underway.

📌 Outlook: Festival Packing Tips

  • 👢 Bring wellies and a brolly for earlier in the week, as some patchy rain could arrive.
  • 🧴 Don’t forget the sun cream, for the UV index which is expected to rise again by the weekend.

🌦 Gavin’s Forecast Features Midweek Showers That Could Hit Glastonbury 2025 — but Sunny Weekend Expected

According to weather forecaster Gavin Partridge of GavsWeatherVids, the 2025 edition of the legendary festival is shaping up to be “a game of two halves” — with the potential for some midweek showers followed by a warm and sunny weekend.

Speaking in his latest update, Partridge explained that the festival site will open on Wednesday 25 June under uncertain skies.

“We’ve got high pressure trying to hang on in the south, but low pressure systems are starting to move in from the Atlantic,” he said. “This could bring some cloud and patchy showers across the site by Wednesday — certainly not a washout, but enough to keep us on our toes.”

Partridge, known for his accurate grassroots forecasting within the festival community, has flagged an unusual pattern this year.

“It’s a strange setup. The GFS model, which usually leans unsettled, has been overly dominated by high pressure for the past week. My hunch is that it’s missing a shift to more unsettled conditions midweek,” he warned. “That’s why I’m doing back-to-back updates this weekend — just in case things take a turn.”

Monday 23 June and Tuesday 24 June, ahead of the festival’s official start, are expected to remain largely dry and pleasant, with highs of 20–23°C and some sunny spells. Humidity may begin to creep up by Tuesday, with cloud building ahead of the incoming low.

By Wednesday, some light rain and drizzle could move in, with temperatures dipping into the high teens, especially during showery spells.

“I don’t think it’ll be muddy,” Partridge reassured. “The ground’s been extremely dry after a parched spring. But Wednesday into Thursday could definitely bring some wet weather.”

Looking ahead to the latter part of the festival, the outlook becomes significantly brighter.

“From Friday 27 June, high pressure builds back from the southwest. That’s when we start seeing a proper summer pattern take hold,” said Partridge. “Dry, sunny, and warmer — exactly what you want when the big acts hit the stages.”

Temperatures are expected to rise steadily through the weekend, with Saturday 28 June likely to be the warmest day, reaching 26–27°C under mostly clear skies. Sunday 29 June, the final day of the festival, may even touch 28–29°C in some parts of Somerset.

“We could be looking at a classic Glastonbury finish: sunshine, highs in the 80s Fahrenheit, and that golden evening light over the Pyramid Stage,” Partridge said. “It’s shaping up beautifully for the closing acts.”

  • Opening Days (Wed–Thu): Cloudier skies with occasional rain — especially on Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon.
  • Main Festival Days (Fri–Sun): Friday may start wet but clears up into a warmer, drier weekend. Sunday looks especially warm and pleasant — ideal for headline acts.

🎪 Glastonbury 2025: Line-Up Recap & Secret Set Buzz

The full Glastonbury 2025 line-up — complete with set times — has officially dropped, and with it, a wave of excitement, speculation, and frenzied planning. Revealed at 10am on Tuesday 3 June via the festival’s social channels, this year’s epic schedule confirms over 3,000 performances across dozens of stages at Worthy Farm, Somerset, from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 June — the last edition before the festival’s planned fallow year in 2026.

While headliners The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, and Rod Stewart (in the legendary Sunday teatime slot) top the bill, fans are equally obsessed with what isn’t being revealed. A jaw-dropping 56 slots are marked “TBA”, hinting at a huge run of secret sets, spread across stages and time slots throughout the weekend.

🔍 Secret Set Frenzy
Following the Foo Fighters’ 2023 surprise appearance as “The Churnups,” anticipation around unannounced acts has become a Glasto tradition. This year’s hotly-tipped secret slots include:

🤫 Prominent Secret Set Slots

    • ⏰ 20:30 – 21:00 | BBC Introducing (TBA)

🧩 The “Patchwork” Puzzle
Of all the mystery listings, the most cryptic is “Patchwork”, scheduled for the Pyramid Stage on Saturday evening (18:15 – 19:15). Speculation is rife over who’s hiding behind the alias, with the two main rumoured acts being:

  • Pulp – Their tour schedule has a Glasto-sized hole, and Candida Doyle recently mentioned patchwork on BBC Radio 2.
  • Haim – Their only UK show is the day before in Margate, and clues tied to novels and films named Patchwork fuel fan theories.

🔥 More Rumours Swirling

It doesn’t stop at Patchwork. Artists rumoured for the remaining secret slots include:

  • Lorde, whose album Virgin drops on 27 June and who teased a return on BBC Radio 2
  • Lewis Capaldi, following a tentative comeback
  • Yungblud, fresh off BludFest and album release
  • Lana Del Rey, whose 2023 set was cut short
  • Lady Gaga, who hinted she could be tempted back

🌟 Big Debuts & Clashes
First-timers gracing Worthy Farm include Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan, Busta Rhymes, Brandi Carlile, and Gary Numan. One notable schedule clash already has fans torn — Doechii’s West Holts headline overlaps with Charli XCX on the Other Stage.

With the countdown on, speculation is part of the Glasto experience — and with many question marks still looming, there’s plenty to keep fans guessing. Keep those eyes peeled, boots ready, and schedules bookmarked — the festival is only just getting started.

📱 Glastonbury 2025 App by Vodafone

Earlier this month, Glastonbury released its 2025 app, powered by Vodafone and “packed full of even more exciting features to help you plan your ultimate Festival experience”.

This year’s headline addition is live location sharing, allowing users to track and reunite with friends across the busy site — whether they’ve snagged a great spot for Dua Lipa at the Pyramid Stage or wandered off for a legendary vegan burger.

Another standout feature is step count tracking, now built into the popular ‘My Highlights’ post-Festival wrap. Festival-goers can compare their steps to see who covered the most ground—or who danced the longest—over the long weekend.

But the innovation doesn’t stop at convenience. Vodafone has tied this new feature to a meaningful initiative: for every average step count logged by attendees, the company will match it with a donation through its everyone.connected campaign — up to a generous 75,000 donations. These contributions will help provide connectivity, devices and digital skills to underserved communities across the UK.

The application, created by Vodafone – and which can be downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store – is the only official app for the event and gives music fans the chance to stay connected with the latest live Festival updates, while navigating their way around the 1000-acre site and creating their own personalised line-ups to share and more.

🔧 Returning and Upgraded Features

  • Spotify integration offers personalised artist recommendations.
  • Shared Line-Ups now auto-update, making it easier to coordinate plans.
  • ‘Add to Favourites’ lets users shortlist must-see acts.
  • An upgraded map search tool helps fans locate food stalls, merch, campsites and more.
  • Map Pinning helps find your tent (or that legendary falafel stand).
  • Smart scheduling alerts fans when artist set times overlap.

🗺️ New 2025 Festival Map Released

On 17th May, the first public version of the Glastonbury 2025 map dropped on the official website, complete with updates and changes for this year’s edition.

Some of the changes include more space for the Other Stage field, which means a scale back for the adjoining Oxylers campsite. Elsewhere, public camping space has decreased in Bushy Ground, South Park 2, and Pennards — unlike Pylon Ground, where it has increased. The reduction has made way for more staff camping in Bushy and South Park 2, as well as expanded family camping in Wicket and Cockmill fields.

🎟️ Ticket Opportunities

Although all tickets have already sold out, there is currently still one competition running for the chance of winning Glastonbury 2025 tickets from Tony’s Chocolonely ticket competition.

The final batch of General Admission tickets for the 2025 Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 19 minutes earlier this year, after going on sale at 9am on Sunday, 27th April.

Keeping with tradition, only pre-registered buyers could access the online sales as part of Glastonbury’s continued drive against ticket touting.

Hundreds of thousands of Glasto-fans were up bright and early, ready at their computer screens in the second of two ticket resales for the chance of buying tickets for Glastonbury 2025 — after tickets completely sold out when they originally went up for sale last November.

Last November saw the first main wave of tickets, which included tickets packaged with coach travel selling out in just 32 minutes, before General Admission tickets were all snapped up in 35 minutes.
