Description by the artist/seller:
Signed limited edition prints of this original oil painting.
My prints are made using the highest quality printing techniques onto Permajet Museum 310gsm Fine Art paper to ensure the truest likeness to the original artwork. The standard of the print really is impeccable! They come complete with certificate of authenticity and care instructions.
The original oil painting is based on a mixture of my own photographs and plethora of happy memories from Glastonbury Festival over the last 12 years.
I made my Glastonbury debut in 2009, I remember going to the top of the hill with my mates, can of cider in hand, sitting down to watch my first Worthy sunset and thinking “I’m home” even though it was my first time. I have been lucky enough to bag tickets every year since and the euphoria of that “I’m home” feeling never gets any less special. With Covid robbing us of 2 years-worth of Glastonbury I’ve spent a lot of time looking through old photos and dreaming of how good it will feel when we can finally return; we’ll head up that hill once again and breathe an enormous sigh of relief, grinning from ear to ear knowing we’re in for one of the most incredible weeks of our lives!
As with most of my oil paintings I have taken a classic approach, using traditional techniques I allow the oil paint to bring out aspects in the image that a camera never could. Close up you will see the expressive brush strokes that make up the whole piece, which when viewed from a distance form a contemporary take on realism.
Various sizes available.
This image is limited to 500.
